Community Cafe presents GT Texas
Bob McKee wanted to have a band play at his birthday. Instead of hiring a band, he started one. Years later, they’re still kicking out the jams. What do they play? – “Whatever we feel like playing.”
GT Texas plays an eclectic mix of Classic Rock and newer Rock with just a touch of country. GT Texas has played several accoustic shows at the beautiful Khatter Vineyards in Parker, Texas.
Members include: Bob McKee, Larry D'Agostino, Lev Desmarais, Pete Jenson, Jim Moss, Phil Smith and (!) Community Church’s former Music Director, Susy Gulley

Community Cafe presents Nightwork Jazz
Nightwork Jazz ensemble hails from Tyler, Texas. Nightwork plays jazz with its own idiomatic blend of soul, blues, and original compositions.
Carmel Johnsen performs as lead vocalist with a combination of beauty, power, and vulnerability that creates a sense of intimacy and relaxation in the listener. Stewart Smith, of the Tyler Morning Telegraph writes: "What will immediately strike you is Mrs. Johnsen's intoxicating voice. Her omnipresent smile provides the perfect accent to her rich, dulcet tones which set the mood and draw you in."
Kevin Johnsen plays keyboard and sings harmony with Carmel and the music is sensitive and stirring, even as a duet. Theo Westin joins them on bass.
