Plano City Council Meeting - February 23, 2015, Supporting Plano ERO

On Monday, February 23, 2015, the Plano City Council met in both the Preliminary Open Meeting and Open Session.  The Equal Rights Ordinance (ERO) was the major topic of discussion at both meetings.

The City Attorney Page Mims reported that the petitions in recall of the ERO were not in compliance with state law and city charter and in some instances contained false statements.  All petitions were invalidated, thus no further action on this item could be taken.  You can view the entire presentation by following this LINK.

During the public comments section of the Open Session, both Rev. Patrick Price and Vicki Verinder from Community UU Church spoke in favor of the ERO.  You can view the entire Open Session meeting by following this LINK.
